What is Vectal Labs?
We live in a world that is in desperate need of more invention. We need unique, original, creative things. Those things could be thoughts, ideas, art, science, software, hardware, research, philosophy or anything else. Whatever you do, just make sure it's new.
The world needs new ideas, and Vectal Labs is my answer to that.
It's much better to create something new, and fail, than to create something that already exists, and succeed.
I would much rather have 10,000 inventors, and only have 0.1% of them create something meaningful, than have 10,000 rule-followers, and NONE of them create anything new. However, the current society wants you to be a rule-follower.
In fact, most people you know are simply rule-followers. They are following rules & paths given to them by other people -- their friends, their parents, their teachers, or society as a whole. They don't produce anything unique or original in their entire lives. To me, this is the greatest tragedy out there.
Civilization advances only when certain group of men decide to make something new. Nietzsche calls this "creation of new values", Peter Thiel calls this "zero to one", you can call it whatever you want.
The brutal truth is that, most people don't have the cognitive capacity to be an inventor. Most people cannot invent new technology, or create new art, or discover new cures. This simply is the biological reality. However, there are many of us who can, and I believe EVERYONE who can create new things has a divine obligation to do so.
For a long time, I used my brand -- David Ondrej -- to do this at a small scale. I created unique pieces of content nobody else did, far before anyone else did. I had unique guests on my podcast, and asked questions nobody else asked. I created & invented small tools and softwares for my videos, and open-sourced them.
It's time to take this a step further.
This is why I'm forming Vectal Labs - a company focused on invention in the AI field. At Vectal Labs, our mission has 4 pillars: (1) invention, (2) research, (3) innovation, (4) experimentation.
The main focus is not making money (even though we will generate billions of dollars), the main focus is creating new things, because this is what ensures civilization keeps advancing.
Right now, the world is in a very dark place. Birth rates are far below replacement level, most countries are headed for destruction, power is becoming more and more centralized, and, except for computers, technological progress has slowed down massively in the last 80 years.
If we, as humans, have any hope of surviving (and thriving!) it is by trying, discovering and inventing new things.
Do not choose the safe, proven path. Choose the new, risky path, and go ahead and create something new.
